Conquering the fear

The fear of the gocco! You see, bloggy peeps, I've had the kit sitting invitingly in the box for almost a month now. I kinda got the general idea from the great links Claudine posted on her blog here. But I was still scared of ruining and wasting bulbs, screens, paint, etc. And failure usually turns into the shelving of craft toys, something I don't want for this one.

Then I found this great video.....really, someone out there had thought of scaredy cats like me. Because I really need to have it all spelled out properly. So I took the plunge with a little drawing of mine.

And made some little flat note cards.

What a cool gadget that gocco printer is!

Now, I'm thinking of making our own custom christmas cards. In fact, I've got the design already on paper. It still needs a bit of fine-tuning and inking, and it should be ready to go soon.

Cheerio!

They look brilliant. How many did you end up printing? I find once I have started with an inked up design that I just want to keep on going because it is so easy.

So statisfying to obtain victory to produce such good-looking cards!

I hope to experiment with this machine one day.

p.s. About the smoking on the plane, before the ban was enforced, it was actually allowed on board.

Wow, the cards look GREAT!!! I've been wanting to buy a gocco screen printer for the last couple of months now but can't seem to find one anywhere. I read somewhere that they don't make them anymore and you have to rely on people selling them secondhand. Is this true? Do you have any advice for where I could find one?
Thanks for popping by my blog and your advice for the markets was really helpful that helpful infact that you've won one of the give aways that I had on that particular post that you commented on. All you need to do now is drop me an email to bcsadmin@bigpond.net with your address and I'll post you out your prize...

Cheers
Jodie

Those printers look great. Where did you purchase yours from, and are they expensive. They look like a lot of fun.
