Sweltering

Just as I was enjoying the warm spring weather, it all suddenly turns stinky summer. Ten effing degrees hotter than yesterday! Blechh!

Hrmph! We're holing ourselves in the flat today to try keep the cool air inside. The hot air can stay outside, thank you.

Then my friendly neighbourhood postman dropped this nice package on my front door and all was better! It's from my new matey Fiona, a little swapping on-the-side we did.....some lovely vintage fabric, a flower brooch, lace and multi-coloured yarn. I cut into the nice thick orange wool blanket right away for a small project I'm in the middle of. Thanks so much, Fiona!

Other than that, there's lots of crafting going on in my head but not much to actually show. I was going to cut up some more fabric for a little kiddy skirt, but realised that the fabric hadn't been washed. Dang! There's nothing worse than perfectly sewn clothes that go wonky after a wash, just because of my laziness.

So I'll leave you with a pic of my table top with a few projects in-the-wings. Cheerio!

Isn't it fun to get packages in the mail? And it looks like you got a good one! It also looks like you've got some fun fabric in the works!
