Scrappy dappy doo

Yep, I dove right into the scrap box again, just for want of something new to do (like I don't have other projects that need finishing, what the hey!). The scrap box needs tidying up anyway.

Anyhow, while I was trawling through the blogosphere last week, I saw Lisa's houses (aren't they fab?!) and I was inspired. So I pulled out this housie patchwork book I acquired sometime back and got stuck into it. Making pretty pictures with fabric.

Then because I still had all those stamps littering the craft table, I thought, why not? I have some fabric stamp pads on hand.....must really get some more colours at the next craft show.

It's all a bit fiddly and that roof section took me several seam-rippings to get right on the first block. But since I'm not in a hurry, I'll just do a bit here-and-there until they all start to pile up.

So cute, it's very distracting. Methinks this is the start of a new quilt (maybe for the bub).....when I should really be working on a couch quilt for the living room. Gah!

I love the scrappy houses Jade, a quilt for the bub will be great!. I have the same book you know.
The little purse on page 49 is wonderful too, and the bags on 44/45, and... well in fact I like most of the stuff on the book. Have fun!

Love the houses! They would make a lovely quilt.

I'll need to get some fabric stamp pads at the next craft fair too, haven't been able to find any locally.

How cute! Love them. Still waiting for my books to arrive, I'm itching for some stitching.. he he he, I have to keep the fingers busy with some paper tole for the time being.... :)

btw - Hannah LOVES her Jessie doll, it's an instant favourite. Trying to keep it away from Ailey as she is also mezmerised by her.

The little houses are so cute, and it must have taken a while to set them up so accurately too.

I am going to have to quit you! I LOVE the houses. Yesterday I obsessed to have the book by Gwen Marston and I ended up paying $93 for it!

Today I ordered some rubber stamps to decorate my houses!

I better not check your site tomorrow.

What kind of ink do you use to stamp on fabric?

Thanks for all the inspiration.

Wow! Jade, I haven't caught up on my blogging lately and look what I've missed out on. Your little houses are just lovely. I can see them as an applique on t-shirts or put into a quilt. Beautiful.
