A matter of time

You know, bloggy peeps, its only a matter of time before I start putting all the pieces together. After all, why would I want to keep them apart?!

When in reality, they're all clamoring to play together.

Just practicing with the crochet edging, but next time I'll try that nice shiny mercerised cotton.

I do like the old-fashiony look of this cotton yarn I picked up (reminds me of crochet lace, my favourite embellishment).....and ta da! One light blue linen tea towel with tree stamps and a crochet edge.

Although, even the geezer says who would want to make this tea towel grubby? Maybe it'll just be for show when guests come over (and sticky-beak in the kitchen).

Anyhow, here's another finished yarn-y thing, the floppy blue version of this beret. I can't help it anymore. This kid's a goof!

Hope everyone's having a great weekend! I still have another tea towel to finish off.

Cheerio!

Love the tea towel - it looks too good to actually use! What did you do to make the ink colourfast on fabric - or is it a special fabric ink pad?

The tea towel looks great! The edging is pretty perfect. I also can't wait to see the next one.

Now, is it just me or is that hat just a little big for the bub :o)

Oh. Jade.
Wow.
It's just beautiful! And so perfect! How did you get those initial stitches in the fabric so evenly spaced? Did you count threads in your fabric? Did you mark them ahead of time? Eyeball it? Really, Really beautiful! And so is that little Bub!

The tea towel does look too pretty to use. It can always be hung up for a decoration. I love your daughter's photos, so cute and the beret looks nice, although a wee bit big for her!

So pretty! (As is your wee one!)

Question - did you crochet your trim right to the towel or sew it on? I think it looks like you put holes and crochted it on. Anyway, I love it!

Magnificent!! I so want to give that crochet edge a go - I love Thimbleanna's cards too. Did you blanket stitch first? I also love the stamp - it's so pretty all together isn't it. My little one loves a good hat but prefers the Hi 5 model!!
