Legs have sprouted

I do believe I'm back! I missed you all heaps......but that busy-ness I spoke about. Well, it's now grown some legs. Translated from gibberish, I had been running Project Getajob during nap times these past few weeks. Cos' as much as I adore being around the kiddo all day long, I'm feeling the need to hold some occasional intelligent conversation and try to resurrect my career from whatever pit it sank to. And some of you will know about the skyrocketing cost of living here in Sydney-town. The extra dosh will definitely get me that much closer to adding some more Liberty fabric into the stash. (must get some of that kingly cord....not to mention more yarn)

I'm actually looking forward to being groomed and snappily dressed again. First, I'll need some practice.

For now I've allowed myself to chill and craft while I play the waiting game for the (hopefully good) news. Just a few more days.

Meanwhile, I've been making practice crochet swatches and another pair of trousers for the kiddo. (she's sprouting too!) In fact, I'm quite please with this pair. Cos' lookee, lookee!

Beautiful piped side seams! I finally conquered the piping.....woohoo!

And that duck egg Amy Butler fabric is proving very versatile. This one's matched with a japanese twill novelty print.

Thank you also for your lovely comments about the crocheted scarves from my last post. Apologies! I've become somewhat apathetic about responding, but now you know why. My mind was definitely somewhere else. I'll try to get back to everyone this evening.

Cheerio!

Love the kid’s new pants, the piping is exquisite!

Jade, those trousers and that piping are totally amazing. Good luck with the job search. You seem really relaxed about it so you'll probably snare a great job really quickly....

OH no I STILL haven't orgnaised for us to hang out for some craft time! I'll have to get in quick for that one then.

Good luck with the job stuff. Belinda mentioned you were busy. Will it be full time? I'm looking at embarking on a similar project in the not too distant future - hoping for part-time though.

Those pants are ADORABLE!!! I LOVE the piping -- we need a photo shoot to show them in action on your adorable little model! I hope you get good news on the job -- given the Sydney bills that have been rolling into my house, I can't imagine how you stay afloat -- I've given up yelling at my monster and just shake my head at you prices! (Of course, in our case, the sickly US $ doesn't help!)

I can totally relate Jade. I hope the job search goes well for you. I love the fabric you used for those adorable pants too, and piping as well. That will have to be one of your tutorials I think. Oh and I tagged you for a movie meme. Check out my blog to see the details.
