Back in the swing

We are finally germ-free at last! What a downer a round of chronic sniffles is, especially when it hangs around for three weeks. Like I say, we're all light weights.

The downside for me is the lack of crafting or painting around here (with the exception of the quilt). I didn't even have the energy to haul my arse from the couch to the sewing table....a scant five feet away. But things are a brewing!

Our newsagents have decided to cash in on the recent crafting revival and have started stocking the right sort of magazines. I have a tonne of ideas swimming around in my head at the moment for new projects.

There is also two weeks left to make cute things for a craft market which we girls all decided to have a go at. We're testing the waters, so to speak. And here's a sneak peak of something new I started, which may make its way to the market.

Okay, I'm going back to the fabric fondling. Hope everyone had a great weekend...short as it was!

Oh hello . . . go the markets, you'll find it inspiring, how people gasp with delight & joy of something truly made with love & beauty. I live in Darwin NT & our market scene is huge, as we're a bit retail starved, small population & all. Love your choice of fabrics, the American Jane Pez is gorgeous!! You make me want to shrink my girls down to tiny tunic fitting size again. Good luck with the markets!! Aren't blogs great, I mean, I've been a mummy since I was 24, straight out of Uni, living in the remote Territory, now we have 4 children at school. So glad I ditched Pharmacology for sewing!! Your little girl is super cute & I didn't realise Jhoanna's dolls were so big. I might get 4 for my guys - my son loves dolls, go figure. Love Posie

I love your new little project -- you always make the best fabric choices. Too bad the PIF isn't reversed! Good luck on your market -- take lots of pics for those of us who can't be there.
