Crafty overdrive

It's always appreciated when other peeps like your hand-made stuff......and then they further validate it by parting with their hard-earned dosh in exchange. Kinda makes you want to make more, yes?

So, out came the precious japanese canvas prints....but what to create? A quick trip to the local spotlight did the trick on the weekend.... et voila!

Stay tuned! More zip pouches are coming, as well as corduroy smocks and pram blankies, to replace the ones I offloaded.

There's a list as long as my arm at the moment of stuff to make. If only the bub can nap longer than three hours. Looks like I'll have another round of "night sewing" happening soon. Fortunately, the geezer can sleep through most noises, including the hum of the sewing machine.

They are so cute. I love the Russian dolls fabric. I’ve seen it before but haven’t found an online-shop yet where they sell it.

I love your blog - I was trying to finish a quilt today for my son and was thinking the same thing about my daughter - why can't she nap longer?!! The coin purses are so cute and I loved the pram blankets from a few posts ago - great job!!

my youngest has given up her day sleeps altogether, which is very sad. Infact she sleeps on a wink. Monday she woke up at 5.30am, didn't tire all day and then at 12.50am that night she came into our room and announced that she wasn't tired!

I'll be your daughter and PROMISE to sleep for 3 hours each day.

Perfect Jade, coin purses & little pouches will sell like hot cakes at the markets. I have sold over 500 of the coin purse size so far, in about 25-30 market stalls, i've done, seriously!! As i said in my Market Tips post, you need lots of small items as people want a piece of the action, then will become a regular repeat customer. Make a purse in every fabric you have, so when people say "oh, i like this pinafore, what other fabrics do you have??" you can say "look at the fabrics i've made purses in . . ." they are like a fabric chart!! Super sweet. I also use PVC to protect the fabric, some are fabric both sides, some i team with leather, denim or corduroy, honestly, people love to touch & stroke them. Super clever!! Love Posie
