More scrap busting action

It feels good to be back creating. Not like last week when I had neither the compulsion nor the energy. And she's not so clingy today, either.

I actually made this new zipper pouch/wristlet with some fabric scraps from the same batch as the pincushions, from the scrap swap with Louise.

The alphabet fabric is from my stash....see, I'm being good.

I was originally going to leave the wrist strap unembellished, but it felt unfinished. So, out came the embroidery floss to give some of those letters a kinda 3D effect.

I think I'll set this aside for the Christmas present pile. But you never know, I might still end up giving it away. Who knows?!

Fantastic idea Jade - I love making handbags but I don't really 'do' them if that doesn't sound too strange....so a wrist purse is perfect for me.....must put that on the list.

It is amazing! I would never be able to just create something "sewn" without a pattern!

Oooh, how cute! Love the 3-D letters too! Glad you're all feeling better! My bloglines is drowning -- I can't ever get caught up. I found out this morning my little heathen is indeed headed your way next semester -- I think maybe he said Univ of NSW? Does that make sense? Or, as he puts it "I'm livin' on the beach next semester and I'll probably never come home!" Now I just need to win the lottery so I can visit while he's there, LOL!

I've never seen a round zippy wristlet before. Very sweet and inventive. It has a kind of organic vibe to it with its shape, the colours, and the prints you chose. Happy Bloggiversary too! It looks like you've uncovered a market for stylish aprons.
