Because they're supposed to tell the future, if you're superstitious. I used to dabble in a bit of tarot card reading.....I have a pretty set right here with me. Hasn't been used in years. I can probably still remember how to read simple spreads. Of course, I bought it for the illustrations!

Great drawing Jade. On several of my visits to your part of the world, my girlfriend has taken me to have my cards read by a guy at Paddington Market. He has been amazingly/scarily accurate about the both of us!! Last couple of times he wasn't there and neither of us could bring ourselves to go to any of the others.

I have two sets. I was addicted to them once upon a time. Haven't pulled them out in ages. Did you do a reading when you got them out?
