Liberty, Liberty

Oh my! This parcel landed on my front door late yesterday from Gail.....and I can't stop saying "Oh my!".

I've been going positively green over her collection of Liberty. And likewise, she had been eyeing my stash of japanese fabrics. Et voila! A swap was born (in the middle of some late night emailing).

Dufus me forgot to take a photo of the parcel I sent her, so you'll just have to more than make do with these beauties.

These are even better than I expected, such a smooth texture, almost like washed silk. And blimey, they smell nice!

I reckon they'll look very pretty added to a bit of patchwork.....maybe a little quilt.

Aussie peeps, you can get Liberty locally at Patchwork on Central Park. I can see myself going for a bit of a spree on these fabrics the next time I get down to Melbourne......now that I've seen what they're like. Because they definitely live up to the hype.

Thank you very much, Gail!

Oh no, I feel a Liberty splurge coming on. And just when I was thinking of implementing your fabric diet idea! Thanks for providing a source (always wondered where to get Liberty in Oz).

Oh they are just gorgeous. Very different to the Liberty prints from when I first used to sew.
Lucky girl.

I just love liberty - it does feel different doesn't it.

I have bought two pieces in my life and they will be going into a quilt that will be for my sister. (Maybe their might be scraps to make something for me with).

Can't wait to see what you do with it.

Oh yummy, yummy - how are those apples!! I bought a little bit of Liberty for Chloe's quilt and it was the only one she didn't like! It's going in it though and she will understand when she's a bit older - I hope!

Ooooooohh. I can't decide which one is my favourite. I love them all. I think the fruity one. No the bow one. Yup all of them for sure.

You're most welcome my dear, and thank you for the Japanese very-good-goodies you sent me - will hopefully get photos up once I find the camera and get home in daylight. Sheesh, you'd think nobody had ever moved house in the history of the world ;-)
