Trim box tour

I've never made it secret that I've always loved trim. The best kind of embellishment to a hem or a sleeve....or even on a little tote (that's just my opinion, shhhh). And most times, just a little peek of it is enough. In my case, just to pet and stroke these pretties is enough to make my day.....after I've petted the fabric piles, of course.

I'm just showing you my favourites, even though we love them all equally, very much.

I spied upon these pastel teeny tiny ric rac when there was a ric rac craze in blogland early this year. While most crafty peeps went nuts on the jumbo kind, I went hunting for the tiniest I could find........to trim some clothes for a little kiddo, you know.

Recognise these japanese sewing tapes? They're starting to warm to me. I have to admit that I usually don't get anything that I can't visualise a project for. Then about a month ago, a little "ding" went off in my head. I'm planning to put these in some small tote bags, when I get the time.

These I have lots of! Twill tape in several weights and colours, which I use a lot as wristlet straps and as tote bag handles, reinforced with a strip of novelty fabric.

It also comes in ribbon weight......look at these eye-popping colours!

And in reels! This was an op shop find. I almost died when the shop lady gave it to me for $3.

But my fave of the moment is crochet lace. There's too many to choose from whenever I go to the local Lincraft and Spotlight. I go into many a headspin whenever I'm faced with a wall of crochet lace.

It doesn't help when the geezer has set me on a half hour timer.......he's outside sitting in the car with the bub. The pressure!

And it doesn't help either when they start producing them in pretty colours! Ack!

All so lovely! I understand the pressure I leave Chris and the girls outside and they ring when my time is up.

Ooohhh, zillion thanks for my PIF, it's gorgeous, i love everything, i've added a post to my blog & started up my own PIF as a competition. Yahhoo!!
I'm a trim whore too, i mean, with all my little girls (& happy to be accessorised son) it's hard not to be. I love layering them, like ribbon with pom poms & there can never be too much ric rac in all it's sizes. Flash back to character dancing & ballet??
Thanks again Jade, you're ace, love Posie

Don't you just know how to make a girl jealous. I am very very envious of your trims. I am very much a 'trim queen'. Maybe one day I will show you mine.
